Google Caffeine – Better For Who?

Soon Google is going to launch a brand new version of its seach engine. It’s called Google Caffeine. I actually simply wanted you to be aware of this, as it might have implications for the future.

They are testing various factors of Google Caffeine, such as speed and accuracy etc. and comparing this to the “old” Google. I guess Google needed to upgrade after Bing launched recently.
One thing from this article on Mashable is interesting. Google Caffeine came up with many more results for a search query than the old Google seacrh engine. If this is going to be a regular occurence, than that means that all those unwritten rules about number of competitive pages (search results in quotes) might need to be re-written. How many competitive pages will Google Caffeine manage to come up with?
E.g. article marketers often like to write content optimised for a keyword phrase that doesnt have more than say 10k-20k competitive pages per month! This is to make it easier to rank high in Google early on. But this number might need some revision if Google shows lots more competitive pages.
Or perhaps it all doesn’t really matter, as what really matters is the actual quality of your competition, such as the backlinks they have, and the quality of those etc.
In any case, you should be aware of Google Caffeine as it might influence your strategy on way or the other, or it will cause to fill your inbox with marketers bringing you lots of new opportunities, tools and strategies based on the new Google 
I have no idea if this kind of research has been done already, but you can be sure that several online business tools would need an upgrade.
