Can Flipping Websites Be Your Easy Online Business Miracle?

As I have been going about my business of checking out various different easy online business opportunities (and forgetting to focus on just one! Tip! 
), I became interested in the idea of selling websites as an easy online business idea. This by the way is called website flipping.
Somehow this has gotten more popular recently, and I’m not surprised! You see, once you have the basics on how to set up any kind of website that provides some valuable content for the readers, you can fairly easily create income from it. You know what? I hadn’t fully realized this until recently.
So what is the idea here? The best way to think about is as if you’re buying and selling houses, real estate. You can buy a house, have a great time living in yor new home, and when it’s time to move, you find a better place that you can now afford, since you value of your old house went up. The value went up because of where you live, but maybe also because of what you did to the place that made it better, more attractive, more practical etc.
This relates completely to website flipping, or the easy online business idea of “how to sell a website”. Of course, there are always more details to be aware of but here is the idea in its essence: you create a website, ideally in a niche where you know people are spending money! This could be a content site like a blog, or a site where you sell a product or a directory site for articles etc.
You create a small website, put content on 5-10 pages, make the content unique and helpful. Perhaps do some keyword research to get high volume low competition keywords that you can start ranking for etc. and write articles optimised for those keywords. Now you need to get your traffic.
Building a small content site doesn’t have to take long at all. But getting traffic might. How to do this? My route would be through linkbuilding! You built links to your content pages and homepage by doing stuff like blogcommenting, forum profile building, social bookmarking, article marketing, building web 2.0 properties such as Hubpages or Squidoo (which as it happens, can be sold as well!!)…and you track your traffic by putting Google Analytics on your site.
So far so good. You have spend a day or two doing this. Now is the time to monetise it. Your business wouldn’t be an easy online business if you didn’t have easy ways to monetise it right? How about good old adsense! Put adsense on your pages and start a basic income. Or try selling text link ads. www.text-link-ads.com is an option. The thing is to just start making a basic income, nothing spectacular, and once you have traffic and some income…voila: you have a valuable asset! This can be sold! Now…or later when you’ve made your online property into a much more attractive house to sell!
Don’t expect to make thousands straight away. We are talking about a range of $50 – $200 maybe, it depends on a load of factors, such how much traffic comes to your site, how much income do you make, have you been building a subscriber list, what niche is it in and many other things.
To convince yourself, go to http://www.flippa.com and check the category “just sold”. You’ll see what sites have been sold recently and for how much. Be prepared to be surprised how many sites are changing hands over there.
Listen, this was just a warm up. I’m planning on writing more about it, but an easy online business could be yours using this method.

Google Caffeine – Better For Who?

Soon Google is going to launch a brand new version of its seach engine. It’s called Google Caffeine. I actually simply wanted you to be aware of this, as it might have implications for the future.
A good post has been written here: Google Caffeine so go see what you make of it.
They are testing various factors of Google Caffeine, such as speed and accuracy etc. and comparing this to the “old” Google. I guess Google needed to upgrade after Bing launched recently.
One thing from this article on Mashable is interesting. Google Caffeine came up with many more results for a search query than the old Google seacrh engine. If this is going to be a regular occurence, than that means that all those unwritten rules about number of competitive pages (search results in quotes) might need to be re-written. How many competitive pages will Google Caffeine manage to come up with?
E.g. article marketers often like to write content optimised for a keyword phrase that doesnt have more than say 10k-20k competitive pages per month! This is to make it easier to rank high in Google early on. But this number might need some revision if Google shows lots more competitive pages.
Or perhaps it all doesn’t really matter, as what really matters is the actual quality of your competition, such as the backlinks they have, and the quality of those etc.
In any case, you should be aware of Google Caffeine as it might influence your strategy on way or the other, or it will cause to fill your inbox with marketers bringing you lots of new opportunities, tools and strategies based on the new Google
I have no idea if this kind of research has been done already, but you can be sure that several online business tools would need an upgrade.
